A little bit about Heart O’ Lakes Quality MeatsHeart O’ Lakes Quality Meats, a meat processing facility, is back open for business in the Pelican Rapids industrial park on the north side of town. After the devastating fire in September of 2012, we have rebuilt and we are bigger and better than ever. Rebuilding after nearly a year in business does have some advantages. Heart O' Lakes has expanded thefront of the building, adding a 46 by 30 foot addition, after realizing they did not have adequate retail space. We're expanding! Look for Heart O' Lakes products at Galaxie Liquor Store, Dunvilla and duCharme's Corner Store.If you want something we don’t have, we can get it.HOL meats became a Minnesota state equal to federal regulations butcher shop on July 2nd and started butchering on July 7th. What does that mean? We are now able to buy and slaughter on-site and sell fresh locally grown beef, pork, bison and lamb through our meatcase, along with selling, quarter, half or whole beef, half and full hogs, and lambs locally grown.
